Alicia & Justin's Wedding

This past July, two of our good friends got married in San Deigo. You might remember them here. This wedding was so much fun and so cute, I had to share a few photos to show off just a bit... heheh... Alicia and Justin were very thoughtful hosts, and even provided the guests with a comfortable lounge area (to which they purchased new furniture for the guests to sit) and cigars.. They even went out of their way to deliver Wedding Welcome bags to all the out of town guests. Which was so very nice because Daniel and I decided to stay in San Deigo overnight last minute. So very thoughtful :)

Doesn't Alicia and Justin so cute together? So pretty :)

One of the first things, to know about Alicia and Justin is that they love their dog Sheelo so much! The made him the ring bearer of their wedding. Look how cute he is with the flower girl /dog.

One of my favorite parts of their wedding was the fact that we served cocktail hour drinks in beakers. Did I mention that Alicia is crazy smart and has a PHD in Chemistry?

We had made 'L O V E' letters for their wedding, for the  guests to sign.  After the wedding Alicia and Justin will place the letters above their mantel for years to come.

After the dinner was served and the wedding cake was eaten, Alicia and Justin also provided the guests with yet another surprise with In & Out, which is pretty much a Southern Ca, post wedding past-time. Yum!

Congratulations, to the happy couple and much blessings for years to come.

Life's a Cabaret

One of the things I love most about weddings is the fact that its another excuse to use confetti! Everyone loves confetti! It just says p-a-r-t-y. The best part of if confetti, is that it comes in a variety of colors: green, purple, orange, hot pink; any color that matches your wedding. You can even get eco-friendly confetti (click here)! Clearly there is no downside of confetti. Here are a few photos that may inspire you to have a little confetti at your wedding.

Paint Chip Inspiration

Source: You Are My Fav

You can get inspiration anywhere, one of my favorite places to get inspiration is at the local hardware store. By using paint chips, you can get color inspiration for your wedding. This is a great trick. Here you will have all the colors of the rainbow at the tips of your fingers, where you can see exactly the color that represents your wedding day. Do you think your wedding is represents a red and blue wedding day? Or is your wedding gray and yellow?

Here are a few other ideas that may inspire you to go to the hardware store today.

Apples and Oranges

Weddings with themes are full of fun and whimsy. One of my favorite themes for a wedding is the idea of Apples and Oranges. This makes for a perfect wedding theme. Although the term ‘apples and oranges’ refers to 2 people who do not see eye to eye, I think in wedding terms, I would define it as 2 people, with 2 different personalities, finally seeing eye to eye on one subject: marriage. Here a few lovely inspiration images that may inspire your wedding with something as simple as apples and oranges.

Enjoy!

Favorite Romantic Comedy/Wedding Movie: The Wedding Date, Father of the bride Inspiration for our wedding was romantic and fun for all ages!
What Color Scheme where you trying to achieve? Fall but also my colors were picked because I wanted it to not only be feminine but clean and flowers were a big help in choosing the colors....

Any DIY projects, you loved the most? I loved doing the candy bags for the guest and the kids bags were a lot of fun for not only me but my husband and the wishing tree.

Any Bridezilla moments while the planning process? Bridezilla only came out once and that was dealing with the suits for the guys...

Thoughts on the final outcome? The final out come was perfect! from the design of dresses to the lanterns and flowers and the food, OVER ALL PRESENTATION OF EVERYTHING WAS BETTER THEN I COULD HAVE IMAGINED! I'm glad were married but I really enjoyed putting together everything and not only having our family enjoy themselves BUT also ALL the guest saying how great it was and how personal it was so bitter sweet....
Are you glad its over?  Its over but I really got a lot of feed back from others who think I should do consulting for not only weddings but baby rooms as well! We're pregos and designing the nursery was just as much fun and very rewarding.

Congratulations on your beautiful wedding and the baby on the way!!!

Special Thanks to Jaclyn + Garrett on sharing their wedding day with us!
